At Sisters Book Corner, we believe that author visits, whether in-person or virtual, can be a valuable and exciting learning experience for children. Author visits can help children develop a love of reading and writing and learn more about the publishing process.

Author Visits & Appearances

Before booking an author visit, we suggest considering the type of event you're planning, the number of presentations, the age and size of the audience, and the venue. Also, please provide at least three specific date options.

Once an author visit is booked, we recommend ensuring that students have read the book prior to the visit, sharing details about the authors and their books through a class read-aloud, book talks, and book extension activities, helping students prepare questions for the author during open discussion time, publicizing the event and ordering books for the author to sign.

Some of the organizations we have had the pleasure to work with include Fayetteville High School, The Academy of Talented Scholars, P.S. 682,  LeBonheur Children’s Hospital, First Regional Library, CrossPointe Preparatory
